Amarok (The KDE music player) plays flac files.

I suggest that you ask on the Ubuntu list about how to make your
preferred Linux player play flac, rather than try to run a Windows app
in Wine for the purpose.

You might want to ask on the Foobar2000 development forum about a
Linux port, as I have seen several people express interest in running
the app on Linux, especially Ubuntu.
