[Wine] Counterstrike 1.6 problems

Tres,

While he did link me a Source bug, it did resolve part of the issue.  For
that, I am thankful!

However, the problem listed in the links you've provided unfortunately
doesn't cover my situation.  I'm not even getting to the point where
the 1.6graphics engine even fires up.  Now, it's dying at the loading
screen (the
one with the two counter-terrorists in the picture and the counterstrike
logo in the lower left corner.).  I'm not getting the initial menu or
anything.  Have you seen anything like that before?  If so, how is it
resolved?
