Although it may not yet be practical, Alan has a legitimate request.
He wants to help but he also wants to enjoy his life.  With the
growing popularity of Linux and Wine, he's trying so save his inbox
from overflowing with unanswered requests that in turn are simply a
copy and paste.

Suggesting to unsubscribe is rude considering the nature in which he
opened the conversation:

Please take this into consideration before barking "this way or the
highway" to a relatively good natured post.
