[Wine] Apps slow down after several minutes

Ubuntu Jaunty jackalope, wine-1.1.9
I removed pulseaudio with the purge command. 
I do not have compiz or desktop effects running. 

On the console occasionally I get XRUN errors. 

And once I caught the message below, but this error might have to do with the Linux-RT kernel I was using at the time.
