It only affects hosting games. Joining games, "seeing" games,
connecting to battle.net is not affected. (Note: I use a loader to ply
on unofficial battle.net servers, since no local server exist in my
country, which may or may not affect Wine's battle.net connection (It
disables some kind of certificate check AFAIK))

Current Warcraft version 1.23something was working find on Wine a few
versions ago, have not tested it recently.
