[Wine] Re: Strange Applications' Wine submenu behaviour

I've reinstalled WINE and the menu now appears to function properly although when I install anything I get the annoying .lnk and .desktop files on my desktop.

Is this a WINE issue or something I should take up with Gnome or Ubuntu?
