When looking at some of these fixes, it mentions patching a file.  I tried following instructions on how to patch MSI for .net 4.0 (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20128), it kept prompting me for the file to patch.  At that point, I got a little bit confused since I thought the patch was supposed to find the file.  

So, going back to the fact that I'm an extreme noob on this, how does patching a file work? If it prompts you for "What file do you want to patch", do you not have the file or is the path incorrect?
