Thanks  for the reply, I am using wine 1.1.35, the terminal message is:-
The program DECABC.Exe has encountered a problem. It has place an icon on the desktop. when I open the program it starts then shows the above message. 
any help would and avice will be good. Ihave only been using Linux for three weeks so not quite up to the mark with it yet.
