Same here.

I can confirm this issue.

It's interesting because if I start running forward and hit a strafe key shortly during that the issue doesn't occur and I can keep running forward.

I noticed that bug several weeks ago, already before upgrading my ubuntu to jaunty. I don't remember when this started though, moving around worked like a charm before this issue occured some weeks ago.

I'm not playing much SWG too much and I don't really care about those bugs anymore, just wanted to confirm it's a bug and probably a wine bug (I'm doing regular ubuntu updates though, so I don't know for sure), but if I was about to do anything useful like quests, instances etc. it would totally destroy gameplay, that's for sure.

Sorta got used to the work-around mentioned above, autorum and /follow though lol

And I also checked if deactivated keyboard-layout-thingies etc. would solve this. It didn't.
My xorg keyboard setting is german and before the bug occured (not sure if it was the exact same time though) the keyboard layout reported to swg were English, before it suddently changed to German, maybe some keyboard related wine parts were changed back then?

Maybe I'll look into this when I'm bored... or file bug reports as I should have done several weeks ago I guess :/

Which textures for instance? Screenshot? I don't have this issue .. I think (nvidia 9600 gt, with custom wine d3d settings and swg gfx options though)

Can't reproduce this either. Make sure you have them activated under options->misc
Also make sure that you don't have any client modifications installed, especially no ui mods as they tend to break the user interface after every bigger ui patch.

have fun,
