Wine performance depends a lot on the app and in case of multimedia/apps games the display drivers are even more important. Besides Nvidia most display drivers are incomplete, buggy and slow in some cases. Since your GPU isn't that power Windows might be quicker for you.

The only way to speed it up is likely to disable Compiz if you are using that else you are more or less out of luck unless you put an Nvidia card in.
