[Wine] buffer overrun in cod

when trying to start cod game of the year edition it starts to load.then i get a buffer overrun detected                                                                                             microsoft visual c++ runtime library                                                                          program c:\prog~FBU\call~IOW\codsp.exe                                                                a buffer overun has been detected which has corrupted the programs internal state. the program cannot safely continue and must be terminated.                                                                                                                            cannot seem to get any debug info to come up.does this game need a particular runtime library? could it be a bad registry key? i have cod2 installed and it runs fine. i am using wine 1.1.32
