OK, you got the same. How did you fix it? Or are you saying it has worked but is giving an error message as well? 

By the way Iforgot to mention I have added: universe, multiverse and restricted as well as main in the "Other Software" updater for wine - I thought it might help after reading another thread posting. 

Please can someone help or at least tell me what other diagnostics I can obtain to track the issue. I do want to use this OS, but if I can't get it working then I will need to provide Bill Gates with with a few more dollars. :(
