[Wine] Eve-Online Ubuntu-9.10 and wine-1.1.32

This question was posted on Oct7 by another poster, but with Beta ubuntu, and wine 1.1.30, since that thread was never answered adequately that I can tell, I am posting pretty much the same question since I updated ubuntu yesterday and now am experiencing the same issue, but I am posting it with the relevant up to date versions of all software.

Eve started fine the day I updated (yesterday), but has since failed to started. Otherwise that I can tell, the upgrade went without a hitch, no after upgrade tweaks I expected to have to get everything to operate. I read something about pulse audio causing a problem, id on't see that installed on my machine. When I got into Wine configuration, and click on the audio tab, the configuration window locks up for more than a few seconds, but it finally resolves and I can "test sound" and it works fine. Sound was previously I problem I had with the previous revisions of all software.

However the error messages "seem" to indicate a display problem.

I run Eve with the following command, and get this output:
