The instructions you say you followed call for PlayOnLInux. PlayOnLinux is not supported here. If you want help here, install your game in a clean wineprefix, using the latest development release of Wine (currently 1.1.29). If it still doesn't work, run it from a terminal and post whatever messages appear.
