Is there a windows launcher of sorts you are using to start other windows programs? In other words, is the program you adding to the applications list is the program you starting?

For example if you add program "program.exe" and set it to run in virtual desktop. Running it with 'wine program.exe' will work and start it in a virtual desktop. But running 'wine start program.exe' won't. As the Wine looking for special settings for "start" / "start.exe" and not "program.exe".
