What version of Wine? If it's older than 1.2, upgrade. Is this a clean wineprefix (nothing else installed, no native dlls)? If not, delete or rename ~/.wine and start over, following the instructions in the AppDB. http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=4992
