I dont have any hl2.exe based game installed on this computer actually, I might give tf2 and l4d a try (I can run Urbanterror, Dawn of War and Stronghold Crusader just fine, so we can assume its a source engine related issue).
I haven't installed Urban Terror on my desktop with the 4870x2 yet, but I have played it on my laptop.
I can also run the unigine heaven benchmark...you might want to check it out. It has some pretty graphically intensive scenes. Later today I may install Urban Terror to see how it runs.
