So i tested 1v1 multiplayer and apparently it's working. Sound appears to be a windows issue related to direct x. I filed http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24146 for the startup crash, and http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24147 for the resolution crash.
