Yes, it's as ridiculous as reporting a POL bug here. 

What you don't seem to understand is that when someone encounters a problem using a third party app, the first thing that needs to be ruled out as a possible source of the problem is the third party app. To do that, the user needs to test the app in a clean wineprefix using plain Wine.  If the problem goes away, it's not a Wine bug. If it persists, we go on to the next step. That's just basic troubleshooting.
