First, and it has been pointed out, do not run Wine as root unless you really, really, really need to.
Second, run Wine as a regular user and install/run the program.  Collect a logging file and then place the file in a location on the Internet were we can go and look at it (http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log has instructions.)
