The retail version of the game does not work in Wine (only the demo - with low FPS):

I presuming you are installing the game via a Steam client. (Since there is no error messages in the console output - often happens as the actual game executable(s) run in separate Wine processes from the Steam client.)

If you have a retail DVD physical copy of the game - you might be able to find a no-CD/DVD crack for the game online (to bypass the SecuROM protection). Obviously the would be very, very bad (etc., etc.) This method also won't work for a Steam client version of the game.
