mroberts000   No patches are normally applied to wine.   Only reason why wine normally does not work as good is missing a dependency or two.

Wine is one of these programs that will basically build no matter what.   Ok No X11 support it will still built.   Even that wine without a X11 server is not much use.

I have built wine from scratch for years.
