trying to run foobar200 via wine on Mac OS X 10.4

Had foobar running, used it a little, then closed out for the purpose of reopening - practice with using the newly discovered terminal - but then found this error...
<< wine: Module not found >>

i tried both...reinstalling?...by $ sudo port install wine-devel
Response:
<< Warning: Skipping upgrade since libtool 2.2.6b_1 >= libtool 2.2.6b_1, even though installed variants "" do not match "+darwin". Use 'upgrade --enforce-variants' to switch to the requested variants.

--->  Cleaning wine-devel >>

retried $ wine foobar2000 ....same error response..

then attempted to updated wine by $sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade outdated
Response:
<<--->  Updating the ports tree
Error: Synchronization of the local ports tree failed doing rsync
Error: /opt/local/bin/port: port selfupdate failed: Couldn't sync the ports tree: Synchronization of 1 source(s) failed >>

...help?
