[Wine] Command and Conquer 3

I am running Kubuntu 10.10 on a 5-year-old Dell Inspiron. I would like to run CNC3: Kane's Wrath through Wine, and I successfully installed it using the PlayOnLinux frontend. The only problem is that I need to install CNC3 to play it, and every time I try the installation quits just when the files are about to be copied, citing an error with msiexec.

Note that while I would like to play CNC3 as well, my primary objective is Kane's Wrath, so if there is a way to use it without installing CNC3 I would consider that as well.
