so you were trying to compile from source and in the wrong folder... ok...

WineBottler?  its a 3rd party program not supported here, if it works for ya.. then great.

Getting anything to work under Wine is often not just install and play, it takes some custom configuration.  check out the Wine AppDB for specific programs to see if anyone else has gotten them to work and how.
