I'm just starting to use wine, so I don't know a lot about it. Does someone know a way around this? Like installing some other native DLLs? From what I understand, this is one of the DLL that's not easy to replace? I tried to use the ole32.dll from my windows installation and to install dcom98, but it doesn't seem to help.

Do we even support Portmapper? You cannot use this normally and you
will have to modify Linux' Portmapper to support your program. This IS
NOT trivial.
