A great deal of contribution to free software is done by organizations
who also deal in proprietary software. That in itself doesn't alleviate
the concern that proprietary licensing strips the user of their freedom
and gives the developer unjust power over them. The organizations that
work with free software communities do so because they need free
software, too. It is regrettable when those organizations choose to
benefit by using free software, but give less than 100% of their work
back to the community as free software in return.

Your request gives away your intentions from the start, since you aren't
advocating that the wine launcher be made proprietary. Would you like
that? Since you are telling us not to think that proprietary software is
bad, surely making the whole thing proprietary would suit you? Or not?
Its seems more likely to me that you intend to take some portion of the
code in wine launcher, put it into a proprietary work, and not share
that work with the rest of us.

The original work of WINE was provided to you with freedom and source
code. I see no reason why anyone would consider your request, since it
doesn't seem to me that you are planning to reciprocate.
