It's extremely poor form to pop in and tell the developers what kind of license they should be using and why their current choice is all wrong without ever contributing any code.  It makes it look like you simply want to get access to the code for a commercial venture without actually doing any of the development work.

As others have pointed out, the current licensing is the direct result of the problems that existed when the licensing was more permissive.  Unlike the numerous misconceptions and assumptions in your first post, what has happened previously is historical fact.

Just thank your lucky stars Vitaliy did not see your post first.  :)
