I'm sorry your experience has been so bad, hopefully we can get this rectified.

Based simply off you saying you had the same problem with another game, the first thing I have to ask is are you using Windows7 and do you have the games installed on your C:drive?

This is known to be very problematic, especially with the UAC (or whatever it's called) activated.
