@doh132, yes thanks for that. Looking through the freetype docs at freetype.org, I can't see how to control the build otherwise. The configure for wine seemed to take a --without-freetype option, so I'm trying that, for now. If someone can offer clues on how to build freetype correctly, then that'd be great.
