Sounds like you're using an old version of Wine. Upgrade to the latest development release, and follow the instructions in the AppDB. http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=17336

Be aware that while you can install Office 2010 in Wine, there are still lots of bugs. Office 2007 works much better.
