Two possibilities come to mind:

One is that your Wine version is not only old, it falls in the period when parts of the DIB engine were starting to be incorporated, and there were some regressions during that time. You should upgrade to the latest development release.

The second is that there was a known bug in the Intel graphics driver that caused heavy black lines in the UI for a lot of apps. It was around for over a year and just fixed a couple of  months ago; if you're not using the 2.16.0 Intel driver, try upgrading.
