I would definitely try installing wine3.1 (you probably have to uninstall wine first). This is the development version, but it contains many many fixes. For example Windows Mathematica 7 works well with Wine 3.1, but not with 2.0. If the worst came to the worst, you could always deinstall wine3.1 and return to the old version. David
