[Wine] Wine freezes with full-screen mouse capture in games

I'm trying to play the game Original War.
I'm running latest sid/experimental Debian (on XFCE/LightDM, both latest) with latest Git of Wine and I ran into a problem. The game starts normally, but after a few seconds freezes up no matter what I do. If I disable 'automatically capture the mouse in full-screen windows' it works just fine.
I played around with the settings in Graphics and the only relevant one is the mouse capture indeed. I also have checked the option 'emulate a virtual desktop' w/ 1024x768.
Here's a log from the few seconds in which it freezes up (when I disable the capturing, the log is just few lines and game works normally). Also, for some weird reason, it says I don't have direct rendering, but when I do 'glx info | grep rendering' it clearly says I do actually have it.
