I did wonder if that might be the case: "WINDRVR.SYS Driver WinDriver
V5.05b Jungo (c)2002" doesn't look as though it came from Microsoft.
I haven't programmed for Windows since Win95 or for parallel ports under
Windows. However, I did write some C that had to access a serial port.
That was a bitch because neither DOS7 nor Win95 provided a shred of
support for serial hardware - you either rolled your own from scratch or
bought a 3rd party library. I suspect the same applied to the parallel
port too and that Windows doesn't supply direct assess because it
expects you to use the print spooler. However, I don't know if this
situation improved with Windows 2000 and later versions.
Any other ideas?
There's no way you can run Windows drivers under Linux, so I think your
best move is to contact the programmer's source company and see what

running the programmer under Windows inside a VM.
