Just wanted to confirm that latest git master fixes the problem entirely in
GLSL mode for me. Flickering is gone and no errors are produces on the console.

It's a bit different in ARB mode, here I'm hitting this (new) fixme, which is
continously printed on the console:
fixme:d3d_shader:shader_arb_select_depth_blt Unsupported tex_type 0x4

However it's not flickering in ARB mode either.

Leaving this open because it's not working for Jan and because of the FIXME
(maybe we can remove this as well).
