Easy way out of a perfectly functional working-just-as-intended optional
feature like asynchronous I/O is? Well, yes, you could nuke Linux and
install Windows 3.1, then you will no longer get asynchronous I/O.

I'd rather see effort concentrated on finding out why an unhandled
exception occurs later. The easiest way to do that is to set up winedbg
properly.
