Errors running notepad.exe

I received the following exception when trying to run notepad.exe using the command line:

wine /mnt/win_c/windows/notepad.exe

I also got it using:

wine "C:\\windows\\notepad.exe"

As you can see from the directory listing below, I have the files

I guess I'm baffled.. I have Win XP Pro installed on the windows C:
drive, and have all the requisite DLL's and paths set up correctly
according to the documentation. (I DID have a problem getting it to this
far, because the docs don't say much about the "Profile" entry in the
config file!!!)

I'm running Mandrake 8.2 on a 900Mhz Athlon system with 256M ram and an
NVidia chipset (builtin), with the 20020509 release of WINE installed...

Can anyone help???
