Did you use the WINE release bundled with SuSE 8.1? If yes it's already
"pretty old" (according to WINE standards ;-) and I'd fetch the latest source
release from winehq.com and compile it myself. The WINE in your computer
differs from the one in your cellar in that the first doesn't neccessarily
get better if you store it for some time. ;) Wine does always make great
progress so fetch the latest version available.

Do you use "managed" window-mode? WINE windows with your window managers
window decoration? If yes, try to switch it of to run the setup program.

I would not expect to much from WINE. Altought it's pretty good now, compared
to older versions, and the development team is doing great work and making
astonishing progress I really doubt that the graphics suite will run in WINE
as well as it does in native Windows. However, maybe I'm wrong, I think it's
worth a shot. :-)
