[Wine] Unix PID files

Hello,

I have a windows application that I am running via Wine.  I would like
to monitor the application in case it shuts down and have it
restarted.

I am currently evaluating whether the application monit
(http://www.tildeslash.com/monit/) will help.  It requires a unix pid
file to be passed in to monitor a process.  Is there anyway to get
wine to create such a file?
