I had this kernel problem in Fedora 12. I moved to Fedora 13 and it works fine 
now, even though my kernel is in the range that should have trouble 
(2.6.33.6-147). I'm not sure if that is something different in that kernel 
version, if it something specific to the Fedora build of that kernel, or if 
I've just been lucky. I wanted to toss it out there in case that kernel 
version is available to you and worth trying.
