[Wine] Noteworthy Composer Hangs on Startup

I have been using Noteworthy Composer quite satisfactorily for some time, but have had occasional problems with it hanging on startup. It gets as far as displaying the window with the close window "X" on the right and the  top left hand menu, but the window itself is empty.

There are no error messages displayed in the terminal but I ran it through Winedebug set to display warning messages and there were plenty of those. I have a file of the messages and I am displaying the first 20 or so lines below. I can display the rest if necessary. As a check, I started up the Noteworthy Viewer through Winedebug and it started fine with no error or warning messages.
