Summary: DialogBox
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: PC

Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-gui
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.com

Moving A DialogBox with a mouse produces shadows (Multiple
Dialogboxes with disappear after some time) This
behavior does not occur on my w2k machine, Compiled with VC++
Tested with own C API Program. Happens also than
I compile the program using winemaker. I can mail the test program
(very small) I would fix the bug by myself. Unfortunatelly
I do not know enough about Linux, only C and C++ on MS :-(
It looks like that W2K hides the Dialog during Moving,
Wine does not.
Sincerely
Chris

Sorry for an error, program demanded not msvcrt42.dll and msvcrt42loc.dll, but
MFC42.DLL and MFC42LOC.DLL as you can see from loaddll channel log.

yesterday with sound running just fine, no crashes.

Summary: fixme:storage:StorageImpl_Revert not implemented!
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: FreeBSD
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: test
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.com
ReportedBy: temp(a)roks.biz
Helo, I've been trying out wine with 1C 7.70.019. This DB software is not
accessible for free, but I think you can help me. Mostly it works fine, but
there's a one reproductive problem, I think that it occurs when program try to
save or open some data files. The last message in +loaddll channel is:
"fixme:storage:StorageImpl_Revert not implemented!"
Program dies whith no messages when I use builtin msvcrt.dll (Also she demanded
msvcrt42.dll and msvcrt42loc.dll, all native dlls from Win2k Server), and whith
"C++ RUN TIME ERROR" when I use native msvcrt.dll, but sometimes she (not wine,
but program in this time) just say something like "Error when try to access file
noname" (wine run as root), whith the last channel message as I have say above.
This errors reproductive when I try to save configuration, user properties or
simply exit program. In Windows I dont have such problems, maybe it just ignore
error, I dont know.
Thanks for your time and sorry for my english.
Best regards, Nikolay Pavlov.

Summary: stdole32.tlb
Product: Wine
Version: CVS

Priority: P2

this morning (12-27-03) i downloaded wine from CVS and built it. everything went
perfect, but when i wanted to install some windows software via Setup.exe, i ran
into some unsolveable troubles:
**************************************************************************
You must copy a 'stdole32.tlb' file to your Windows\System directory!
You can get one from a Windows installation, or look for the DCOM95 package
on the Microsoft Download Pages.
A free download link is on http://sourceforge.net/projects/wine/, look for
dcom95.exe.
**************************************************************************
which i did. but dcom95.exe told me:
"A newer version of dcom95 or dcom98 had been installed. To override, you must
uninstall the current version first."
ok, i thought, downloaded dcom98.exe from microsoft and ran it - with the same
result.
google'ing for an answer to that question, i found dcm95cfg.exe. calling it may
not have been a good idea, as it tells me that it requires MFC 4.2...
so im'm unable to install software on the current version of wine. i put my
problem to the freenode chat, but seemingly nobody in there knows the answer. so
i think, that this is a bug - and a blocker, too.

BTW the game only crashes if you sound works. If you have your sound card
occupied by some other app, the game won't crash.

This is a SUSE Linux 8.2 with WINE 20031212

The program I'm trying to get running is the Cambridge Advanced Learners

then the software. When I now try to start the CALD, the splash is shown and
behind it an empty windows appears. On the terminal I get these status messages:
