The dxsetup.exe freeze also happens to me, however after killing dxsetup.exe it
appears to begin installing correctly, then gives me a messagebox stating that
the "Installation ended prematurely because of an error." I suspect it has
something to do with having to redraw the installation window, because I was
initially able to begin the installation without a hitch and copy most of the
files, then this error popped up.
