It seems likely that the issue is in the driver, but it could still turn out to
be a bug in Wine. Unfortunately we won't really know until someone spends time
debugging it, either on the driver side or on the Wine side. NVIDIA used to
have a mail address for reporting bugs in the Linux driver,
linux-bugs at nvidia.com. I think that still exists, although the last time I
tried using it the response I got wasn't terribly helpful.
