The last stable release 1.6 is about two years old, and there have been a lot
of changes and improvements in the meantime. Tests results with such an old
version are just too unreliable to be useful, so yes, please upgrade to a more
recent version and retest.

The discussion here on the bugtracker should only focus on the technical
aspects though, so for all questions regarding updating Wine, please ask in the
WineHQ forums. In order to get a more recent version you can either use
prebuilt packages (for example

(https://www.winehq.org/docs/wineusr-guide/installing-wine-source).
