The infinite recursion seems to be an interaction between Wine and the program.
 I'm perfectly willing to believe that the root of the problem is Wine
misbehaving, but we need to figure out what exactly it is that Wine is doing
wrong.  A regression test might help us understand that, although it's not the
only way.
