Errata:
the bisection result didn't convinced me, so I tried another bisect rerun and
it seems I made a mistake in the last phase.
So the faulty commit is actually:

114832224fc5babd1417562dbd64d489fabe1e01
 quartz: Run the graph asynchronously if necessary.
