This seems to be fixed with wine-6.11 and wine-mono 6.2.0. I tested the GOG
version of the game and checked with +mscoree and WINE_MONO_TRACE=wrapper to
make sure wine-mono was being used (the installer tries to install native
.NET).

Marking FIXED, feel free to reopen if you can still reproduce.
