Why that harshness now?

Imagine a world where not everybody is you.
Imagine a world where not everybody knows how Wine works and what further
information is needed to take a closer look at certain issues.
Imagine a world where somebody prefers Linux over Windows and installs Wine to
play a game they like.

So Wine is a tool like there are millions others out there, apparently each to
be known in great detail by everybody who uses it. Seriously?

I agree that this wasn't the most important thing that needed to be fixed in
the history of Wine. However, it's a report by somebody who cares about Wine
with the intention to improve it. Nonetheless this bug was lying around dead
for three months without anyone taking a look at it or giving the slightest
impression that anyone would care at a certain point in time.


So you are the coders of Wine hence it's your obligation to reply to me and ask
for further information (e.g., "send us the output of this command") that I'd
have been happy to share and updated the status with. I read that bug page and
provided what I felt was interesting.


But no, of course it's easier to be the average narrow-minded Linux-"I hate all
my users"-tech guy to come back and attempt to make me feel bad now. As far as
I'm concerned that didn't work.
